Don’t miss the Tuesday morning market in Bourgueil. Admiring the stalls, discover the region’s many specialities and meet local producers. Try goat’s cheeses, pork morsels called rillons, black hens known as gélines, local honey, jam and dried pears… all tasty delights.

Don’t forget to stop by at the Pâtisserie Brémaud, near the Bourgueil covered market (or Halles), to sample the delicious Galette Bourgueilloise. Come Sunday morning, don’t miss the Langeais market; every weekend, it draws locals aplenty as well as holiday-makers, creating a very lively atmosphere beside the striking central castle.
